President Hakainde Hichilema Is Delighted With The Increase In Female Army Enrolments
President Hakainde Hichilema has expressed his delight that young women are joining their male counterparts in military training as a means of attaining gender equality.
President Hichilema stated that such statistics show that the country is on track to achieve regional and international gender equality norms as he commissioned 313 officer cadets for regular and specialists in Kabwe, with 89 female cadets also passing.
President Hichilema, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, has asked the Army Commander to take into account more females in the upcoming army recruitment.
βIt is impressing to see an increased number of female cadet officers as this is one way of achieving gender equality,β he said.
