Court hears of Bowman Lusambo’s properties worth of over K20 million
During the continued trial of former Minister for Lusaka Province, Bowman Lusambo, the Economic and Financial Crimes Court heard the findings of an investigation which revealed he possessed properties worth over K20 million.
The trial is before Chief Resident Magistrates Davies Chibwili.
It is alleged that Mr. Lusambo possessed a property in Lusaka’s Chamba Valley and an incomplete block of six flats in the same area, which are suspected to be from the proceeds of crime.
An officer from the Anti-Corruption Commission, Mulenga Mulenga, gave his evidence to the court. He described that when he questioned Lusambo on the source of the money he used to purchase and develop the properties in question, he remained silent.
Mr. Mulenga went on to reveal that the investigation of his Commission had also found that Lusambo earned around K7 million between 2016 and 2021.
