PRESIDENT LUNGU IN JAPAN
President Lungu will be in Japan this week to attempt to strengthen ties with the Asian nation.
Japan has a long history of support to Zambia and is currently overseeing the construction of the Kazungula Bridge.
Japan has also come to Zambia’s aid in plans to reconstruct the new Luangwa Bridge as part of the international gateway for connectivity and domestic conduit for free movement of people and goods.
Over the years the Japanese International Cooperation Association (JICA) has been a signature project in water development and also the education sector. Unlike China Japan remains very quiet about its overseas developmental projects and does not apply harsh repayment conditions.
