ECZ Begins Prepping for 2021

The Electoral Commission of Zambia have stated that the delimitation exercise and the online voters’ registration platform will begin in 2019 and 2020 respectively ahead of the 2021 general elections.

Margaret Chimanse has confirmed that the commission will begin early in order to ‘decongest’ large constituencies and create clear boundaries for voters.

The ECZ Public Relations Manager confirmed they were hoping to engage with village head men as well as civil societies to make sure no Zambian is left behind.

They claim that the new online platform will protect against illegal registrations which many believed influenced the last elections.
