Kambwili’s Public Meeting Stopped By Police

Former PF member Chishimba Kambwilki has had his political campaigning thwarted again by the police. In the newly formed Chifunabuli District the police have refused NDC Consultant Kambwili from holding a meeting in the area.

The meeting was scheduled ahead of Thursdays Council chairperson elections in the area. Police stopped Mr Kambwili from going ahead and told him that they had received specific instructions to stop him interacting with the electorate in Chifunabuli. This caused unrest with many in the crowd refusing to be dispersed.

Hundreds of Chifunabuli residents had initially given the NDC leader a thunderous welcome as he entered the area. Given Chola is the NDC candidate in this Thursdays polls.

This is just another example of the police exercising an unfair bias against opposition parties when it comes to public meetings and political rallies.
