Musenge Runs Back To PF
Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary general Mwenya Musenge has defected back to the Patriotic Front, after he was expelled from the party by President Lungu in 2017.
At a press briefing on Tuesday, Mr Musenge said he would not be pushing for any position of authority within the PF but would rather be joining the party as an ordinary member.
Until lately Mr Musenge had served as secretary general for the fringe Agenda for Human Development (AHD) party. He said several AHD members had decided to rejoin the ruling PF as there was not enough time to mobilise voters ahead of the general election in August.
Musenge added that he was drawn back to the PF because of the strong leadership President Lungu has exhibited during his time in office.
He admitted, however, that Zambia is not being as managed as well as it could be, but maintained that the PF had the potential to revive the nation.
