Now We Have A Ministry That Will Do Things Differently Together - Siame

Felix Mutati, Minister of Technology and Science as well as Kayula Siame, Ministry of Technology and Science Permanent Secretary, have said that the new dawn government is different and will ensure that technologies will be utilised to improve sustainable development within the country.

Mr Mutati explained that since the creation of the ministry of technology and science, the government had positioned the ministry at the centre of economic transformation, ensuring that profits are fully appreciated from related industries such as automation and artificial intelligence.

A meeting was held with stakeholders earlier this week in which a roadmap for the first 100 days of the ministry was discussed. During the meeting it was discussed how to best make the Ministry of Technology and Science thrive through partnerships. An overwhelming presence of stakeholders in the meeting demonstrated a strong positive response to the government call on the role of science and technology within the country.

Focus on this sector within the economy is hoped to realise a digital transformation within the country.
