President Hichilema To Visit Malawi On Tuesday

President Hakainde Hichilema has announced that, along with his team, he will visit Malawi from Tuesday this week.

The trip was announced via the President’s Facebook page which outlined that the purpose of the trip was “part of our president-to-president diplomacy which was been the established tradition for new heads of state.”

President Hichilema added that topics to be discussed would include trade, reiterating the importance of opening trade routes between the two land-linked countries. He said that this would “enable Zambians to sell their products to markets on our doorstep. This creates employment and and earns the country foreign exchange which will help in economic stability.”

The President also hinted at additional trips around the continent to continue economic diplomacy plans.
