PF Offers Mweetwa K6 Million Land Cruiser to Defect

United Party for National Development (UPND) Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has recently revealed that three Political Front (PF) Ministers have promised him money if he defects from the UPND.

The allegations have been made against PF party members Richard Musukwa (Mines Minister), Bowman Lusambo (Lusaka Province Minister) as well as Edify Hamukale (Southern Province Minister) and were brought to light during a press briefing in Choma on Sunday.

Mweetwa has assured that he has turned down the numerous offers which he has received from the above party members, which included promises of a Land Cruiser costing K6 million.

The UPND Spokesperson suspects this is the tactic that the Political Front are using to encourage more party members to defect to the opposition PF party.

The allegation came only one day before Vice President Inonge Wina was seen handing out cash to potential voters and also follows criticism of President Lungu trying to bribe voters with PF-branded bicycles as well as through providing 52 fuel tankers to youth groups in March.
