UPND VP Inspects Failed Projects

UPND Vice President and running mate Mutale Nalumango has been continuing to inspect failed projects by the PF government ahead of the 12 August 2021 elections.

The opposition party is seeking to highlight the fact that despite 10 years in power the PF has failed to deliver on its promises, such as more money in your pockets and creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Writing on social media Nalumango this weekend reported on a solar milling project.

“The PF government through the Zambia Cooperative Federation (ZCF) borrowed 200 million US dollar (US$) for a solar milling project. It is unclear how the MWANKOLES bought milling plants worth US$ 25,000 at US$70,000,” she writes.

“They promised cheaper mealie meal but today, Zambians are buying a 25kg bag of mealie meal at more than K150,” she continues.

When the PF came to office in 2011 mealie meal was around K45, meaning they have more than trebled. Inflation has been stuck in double digits since October 2019 and stood at an 18-year high in May of 23.3%.

“We need to restore law and order and prosecute all the criminals defrauding our nation and making Zambians more poorer,” Nalumamgo concludes.
