PF Top Leaders Should Step Down – Sinyinda

Former deputy education minister Clement Sinyinda has said that all top PF leaders should step down as nobody can trust them again.

Sinyinda stated during an interview that top PF leaders could not be trusted as they had all been accomplices within President Edgar Lungu’s corrupt administration.

“First of all, I totally agree that former president Lungu should retire because he has left a very bad legacy. He promoted tribalism, corruption and violence,” Sinyinda said.

He went on to add that Given Lubinda, together with former Secretary General, should step down. Sinyinda stated that Lubinda was “an accomplice of the corruption and bad governance in PF.”

If the party is to truly rebrand itself not only president Lungu should step down, Sinyinda believes.

“It is all those top leaders of PF who should step down [too] including Given Lubinda himself. Davies Mwila, Davies Chama, all those are accomplices,” Sinyinda added.

His comments come as former president Edgar Lungu announced that he would not run for presidency in the next general election following his defeat by President Hakainde Hichilema of the United Party for National Development in the August 2021 general elections.

“I am not available for 2026, the PF should now rebrand itself with new leadership, when the right time comes, we will announce the new PF President and I will take leave,” Lungu said.
