After questioning, Mr Mwila was heard shouting “Nimba acquitted pa police woo [I have been aquitted at the police station]”.

He later told PF officials who came to visit him that “we are used to these interrogations”.

Speaking to journalists shortly after questioning, Mr Mwila’s lawyer Kambwa Haaongola said police had not told his client precisely what they are accusing him of.

He said that Mr Mwila had given his side of the story and that it was up to the police to issue a further statement to the media.
