ZDA Partners with Zambia Is Back To Drive Zambian Investment Campaign
The Zambian Development Agency (ZDA) has partnered with the Zambia Is Back campaign to drive investment in Zambia.
The new campaign, which is working with the support of the New Dawn government and looks to facilitate investment in Zambia, was launched this week.
The initiative will promote investment in all areas including tourism, mining, ICT, energy, and agriculture.
Choolwe Chibomb, a spokesperson for the campaign stated, “We all know that Zambia has a lot to offer in terms of natural resources; a young, driven workforce; political stability and preferential trade ties. Through the Zambia is Back campaign, we will work to showcase the best of what our country has to offer, as well as provide practical insights and directions on how to invest in the country.”
The Zambian trade minister, Chipoka Mulenga, also described the government's excitement surrounding the new campaign.
He said, “This campaign is a key pillar in our efforts to restore Zambia’s economic reputation and channel investment into productive sectors that can deliver mutual benefits for businesses and citizens. Ensuring that Zambia has an attractive and competitive environment for business is essential for delivering on our potential as a nation and ensuring that citizens have job opportunities and better living standards.”
The campaign comes after new policies were enacted by the New Dawn government to encourage investment. This includes changes to mining royalty taxes, agricultural support, and tax concessions.
