Paramount Chief Chitimukulu Outlines His Support For President Hakainde Hichilema

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of Bemba people has shown his support for President Hakainde Hichilema, urging all Zambians to respect the President’s office.

ZAINS reported the President paid Chief Chitmukulu a courtesy call to his palace this morning. The statements came whilst Mwinelubemba was giving a speech.

He urged Zambians to respect the will of the people and support the country’s one President.

Additionally, he advised the President to ignore criticisms and explained that such statements were not in could faith and lacked factual backing.

Chief Chitmukulu stated, “You know there are some people abusing social media and you should not respond to all statements which are not well-intended.”

President Hichilema promised that the government would continue to respect the traditional leaders and not interfere with their selection process. He described the partnership between traditional leaders and the government as united leaders in development.

Further, he ensured that his priority would be to reunite the country.

The statements came after the President visited the 2.8 Million (US) dollar, Chambishi wastewater treatment project. He outlined that the New Dawn government would continue their procurement of projects ensuring they were cost-effective, of high quality and their delivery was timely.

President Hichilema stated, “You understand the New Dawn Administration’s approach, right price, quality works and delivery on time, in the past, things were always overpriced and it became a cancer, so we must do projects on time and at the right cost.”

Gopa Infra Twafiq Almasri, the resident engineer for project consulting, stated that the project was 85% complete and set to be finished by the given timeframe.

By generating improvements in infrastructure, and services and creating sustainable employment, the construction of such projects accelerates the delivery of the New Dawn government’s socio-economic development agenda.
