Ex-Chipolopolo Star Hired As City Of Lusaka Coach

Ex-Chipolopolo midfielder Isaac Chansa has been appointed as head coach of the City of Lusaka.

Chansa’s appointment was confirmed by the team on Tuesday after they parted ways with Serbian-born coach Veselin Jelusic who had only been in charge since the start of the season. He left due to personal reasons.

The appointment is Chansa’s first coaching opportunity after hanging up his boots for Forest Rangers two seasons ago.

The team are currently playing in the FAZ National First Division and are chasing promotion.

“We believe that coach Chansa is the right person to build on the foundations laid in the league thus far” said City chairperson Chomba Mumba.

Chansa’s first coaching appointment for City will prepare them for their match against Zesco Shockers in their delayed Week 23 game.

The duration of Chansa’s contract is still unknown.
