Zanaco Sure The Super Division Title Race Still Open

Following a loss to Zesco United on Sunday, Zanaco coach Chris Kaunda is sure that the race to win the FAZ Super Division title is still open in spite of Zesco’s seven-point lead at the top of the table.

Kaunda’s optimism comes as his team currently rank second in the division; however, the coach has said his side’s loss over the weekend is regrettable. 

“We lost, Zesco played well. Of course, this time we need all the points, so it is very disappointing to lose a game like that” Kaunda said.

“We have lost as a team. We have seen the mistakes we make and I am sure we will work on them”.

Zanaco has one more match to play in the division against Lusaka Dynamos on Saturday afternoon. Zesco are also due to play their final game Saturday against the Green Buffaloes. Lusaka Dynamos currently place 4th in the table whilst the Green Buffaloes place 15th, giving Zesco a greater chance at winning the match than their title rivals Zanaco.
