Zesco Sure Of Super League Win

Zesco United’s coach Mumamba Numba has said that his side, who currently place first in the Super League, are targeting a minimum of 12 points in their next matches to be in pole position to win the league title.  

After opening a 7-point lead after their win against Zanaco at the weekend, Numba said that consistency in performance will help them take the title from current champions Nkana.

“We just have to continue talking to the team so that we don’t get relaxed and start dropping points,” Numba said.

Speaking about the win over the weekend he said “We really needed this win so that we can open up a seven point lead. I think this is an important win on our part,”.

Current League Champions Nkana have struggled in this year’s Super League, having lost three out of their last five matches and currently ranked 16th out of a possible 18.
