Forest Rangers Send Coach On Forced Leave

Forest Rangers coach Tennant Chilumba has been sent on forced leave by his team following a recent run of poor results.

The Rangers have gone from 2019/2020 FAZ Super League runners-up to not being able to win a single one of their last five matches.

Their most recent games have ended in two draws and three defeats, leaving the team 6th in the FAZ Super League.

In a media release, the Rangers explained that an interim coach will take the place of Chilumba for now.

“Forest Rangers FC head coach Tennant Chilumba has been sent on administrative leave with immediate effect. In the interim, coach Owen Kaposa, the second assistant coach, will serve as acting head coach.”

Previously Perry Mutapa coached the side from Ndola, before resigning to take up appointment as Power Dynamos coach in December 2019.

Coincidentally, Mutapa is also currently on forced leave following a poor run of results.
