FAZ mourns former Chipolopolo manager

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has expressed its sorrow at the passing of Lusekelo Kamwambi, former manager of the Chipolopolo national team.

Kamwambi, who served as team manager during Zambia's triumphant Africa Cup of Nations campaign in 2012, died on Friday following an illness. His funeral is set to take place in Lusaka.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga conveyed his condolences, stating, "We have received news of Mr Lusekelo Kamwambi's death with profound shock.”

He added, “He was a former national team manager and respected football administrator. On behalf of my executive committee and the entire football community, I extend our deepest sympathies to the Kamwambi family."

Throughout his career, Kamwambi also managed the under-23 squad and maintained a long-standing affiliation with Nkwiza Football Club.
