Chipolopolo Squad Named for Four Nations Tournament in Malawi

Chipolopolo will compete in the Four Nations tournament this weekend in Malawi, with coach Avram Grant announcing a provisional team.

Grant, the Zambia National Football team coach, announced the 24-man provisional squad for the Four Nations tournament in a press conference yesterday. The team will consist of a blend of new players and those who competed in the Cote d’Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Kenya and Zimbabwe will join Zambia and the hosting team Malawi in the week-long tournament beginning on March 18, with each of the four nations set to play at least two games.

Grant will use the Four Nations tournament as a practice for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June.

Chipolopolo will travel to Morocco before facing Tanzania at home in Group E matches scheduled between June 3 and 11.
