Damien Shamambo finishes 7th in men’s 50m freestyle swim at Olympic Games

Team Zambia swimmer, Damien Shamambo came seventh place in Heat 5 of the men’s 50m freestyle at the Paris Olympics 2024. He clocked 24.09 seconds.

First place was Fiji’s David Young, followed by Malta’s Kyle Micallef, and third place went to Nigeria’s Tobi Sijuade.

This race concludes Shamambo’s time at the Paris Olympics, but he has made Zambians extremely proud, and he has earnt huge respect to swim against the world’s leading swimmers at the highest level.
