Patrick Chinyemba takes step closer to securing Zambia’s hopes of a medal

Patrick Chinyemba went head to head with his opponent, Amit Amit of India, and grasped his 4 – 1 victory in the ring, placing him in the Quarterfinals of the men’s 51kg weight division.

Chinyemba needs just one more win in order to earn a place on the Olympic podium.

His win against Amit Amit meant even more for Zambia’s boxing star, since he had lost to the player at the 2022 Commonwealth Semifinal.

Chinyemba’s next match is against David de Pina of Cape Verde on 2 August at 21:04 hours, taking place at the North Paris Arena.
