Czech Republic offers 25 Scholarships to study Artificial Intelligence
Zambian professionals have been offered scholarships to study Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security by the Czech Republic. The scholarships apply for both undergraduate and master’s qualifications.
The Czech Ambassador to Zambia, Pavel Prochazka, announced the offer when he paid a visit to the Minister for Technology and Science, Felix Mutati.
Ambassador Prochazka emphasises that the Czech Republic wants to partner with the ministry to improve Zambia’s technical discipline.
Zambia’s technological advancement has become a priority while it faces pressing challenges such as the drought, and its preparation for future resilience and protection against such disasters.
The Ambassador said, “we would like to attract Zambians which are interested to study in my country, in mostly these technical disciplines.”
Mr. Mutati responded that “from the Zambian perspective, our priority be supporting technologies, particularly AI going forward because that is a priority area.”
