Stay In Your Lane To Ensure Comprehensive Implementation Of Policies – HH
President Hakainde Hichilema has urged ministers to focus on their own area of expertise to ensure that policies are comprehensively implemented under his new government.
President Hichilema, who spoke at the induction meeting for cabinet and provincial ministers at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre on Monday, utilised the opportunity to urge those involved to work towards the realisation of planned developmental goals.
“The induction programme will therefore lay the foundation of enhancing your performance in public office. The induction will also strengthen our collective responsibility and accountability in the management of public resources for improved service delivery,” President Hichilema opened.
“As policy makers keep in your lane in providing policy direction and ensure that the policies of the new dawn administration are comprehensively implemented,” he added.
In response, Minister of Home Affairs Jack Mwiimbu noted the importance of taking on board the words of the President.
“The instructions you have given us are cardinal. As a new administration, we pledge to work and ensure that the welfare of the people and the country at large is improved upon,” he said.
