President Hichilema Meets With UAE President To Discuss Investment Opportunities

President Hakainde Hichilema has welcomed the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed. 

The two presidents held bilateral talks to discuss the opening of a Zambian embassy in the UAE.

Additionally, they discussed extending investment opportunities in energy, agriculture, mining and technology.

President Hichilema also said that Zambia’s relationship with the UAE will prove insightful due to its rapid economic and social development.

The president was particularly interested in learning about how the development of the UAE has resulted in improvements in the quality of life of its citizens, outlining that Zambia can take important lessons from the newly developed country.

The meeting occurred alongside the Abu Dhabi Sustainability week which will focus on increasing investments in renewable energy.
