New documentary celebrates 60 years of independence

A new documentary by Zambia is Back, part of the Zambia Development Agency, has been launched to celebrate 60 years of independence.

Launched at the end of last week, the documentary ‘Zambia: Stronger at 60’ celebrates the country’s “rich history, vibrant business culture, and promising future”, featuring a host of guests including politicians, business leaders, musicians and football stars.

Hearing from members from across society, the documentary delves into our country’s history, leading with the spirit and important work of our first leader, Kenneth Kaunda. Speaking during the documentary, Hon. Frank Tayali MP, Minister of Transport and Logistics, reminisces on the importance of this time, commenting that “We grew up realising the importance, the significance, the pride that we needed to have in the Zambian spirit.”

There is also a focus on the work which our current President, Hakainde Hichilema, is doing to ensure development and progress within the country. “Through the very diligent work that has been put in by our chief marketer, the President, Hakainde Hichilema, now everywhere you go in Zambia you can walk with your head held high,” comments Hon. Mulambo Haimbe MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs, adding that the country has seen unprecedented levels of interest from investors in recent years as a result of the hard work of the President.
