Ex-Champions Nkana Drop To Second From Bottom

Nkana F.C. lost their match on Sunday 1-0 against Lumwana Residents, leaving the team worryingly close to the bottom of the leadership table.

The match was played only three days after Nkana’s coach Kelvin Kaindu was sent on leave following a spate of poor results, having collected just one point from their last six league games.

After Sunday’s match the team added to their losing streak which left them dropping from 16 to 17th place, with only Kitwe United beneath them.

The win for Lumwana enabled them to jump from 17th to 15th place, with 23 points to their name, one point ahead of the Green Buffaloes.

Nkana are left with thirteen games to revitalise themselves within the FAZ Super League which they won in the recent 2019-20 season.
