National Sports Council Announce Finalists for Sports Award 2023

The National Sports Council of Zambia has announced the finalists for the 2023 National Sports Award for sportsman and sportswoman of the year.

The male nominees are 400 metre track and field sprinter Muzala Samukonga, boxer Patrick Chinyemba, and Judoka Steven Mung’andu, who recently won a gold medal at the 12th African Games in March.

The finalists for sportswoman of the year are netball player Beauty Nakazwe, swimmer Mia Phiri, and hockey striker Carol Nakombe.

The award ceremony will take place on 16 April from 18:00 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka.
