Zambia’s Teams Gear Up for Summer Olympics
Zambia is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The nation has athletes competing in various disciplines, showcasing the country's diverse talent.
One of the highlights is the women's football team, the Copper Queens, who have qualified and are expected to put up a strong performance, after their impressive effort at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where they scored 3 goals against Costa Rica. The athletics team will also be a focal point, with runner Muzala Samukonga participating in both the men’s 400 metres and men’s 400 metre relay.
Zambia will also see competitors in boxing, judo, and swimming.
