Muzala Samukonga arrives in Paris with dreams of winning gold
Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport ready to represent his country and follow his dreams of winning gold at the 2024 Olympics.
Speaking to ZNBC on 21 July, he said, “Commonwealth champion is 72 countries, but the Olympics is worldwide, you know, so I’m just looking forward to going and doing my best.” He added, “the Olympics is not something small, it’s something huge.”
Samukonga’s personal best record in the 400 metres sprint is an impressive 43.91 seconds.
The athlete said it is about time that a Zambian conquers the world at the Olympic games and sets a new record. With the nation behind him, he has a chance of making his dream come true.
